I know I've been holding the terms "faithfulness" and "obedience" side-by-side, and I sense there's a subtle difference between the two... I'll have to let those sink in a bit more.

Like you, I went through a subtle but important turning point in my faith journey among Friends, during which I shifted from "participating" in the meeting to "offering" myself to the Spirit, making myself available to serve.

Need I say that my life as a Friend really hasn't been the same since...?!

Blessings,
Liz Opp, The Good Raised UpLiz Opphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09802348848085930901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8359713537087862054.post-16063375278829002382007-08-16T07:22:00.000-06:002007-08-16T07:22:00.000-06:00Stephanie,It's so nice to hear from you!You look s...Stephanie,
It's so nice to hear from you!
You look so beautiful and full of life in the photos on your blog. How soon is the baby due? Must be any minute, for the size you are. I love being pregnant and then having an infant (sigh...). I know it's hot and you're probably feeling rather full, but enjoy each moment as much as you can. You will look back on these days the rest of your life with great fondness.
Mary LindaFriendly Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12958152969639229916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8359713537087862054.post-9272846500869633352007-08-13T21:42:00.000-06:002007-08-13T21:42:00.000-06:00We used to sing that song in the church of my yout...We used to sing that song in the church of my youth as well. It fills me with warm feelings. Interesting how concepts like obedience and discipline take on a different cast when we are led to them by the Spirit, rather than by other people or our own vanity. I've been thinking more about discipline in my life lately...

Stephanienaturalmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15594383847916759287noreply@blogger.com
